Simple Ways to Stay Positive Every Day

Simple Ways to Stay Positive Every Day

I shared this post on my weekly art substack my weekly art substack my weekly art newsletter today, but not everyone is subscribed. Therefore, I am sharing it here in case it resonates with the right individual. If you are reading this, you are likely a friend of mine, even if we have not met in person. You may be aware that I grapple with depression, and perhaps you do too. Whether you are currently facing challenges in life, dealing with astrological influences, hormonal imbalances, or the deceptive whispers of mental illness, please know that you are not alone. You are valued and essential, even if you are unable to recognize it. I created this artwork some time ago, but I struggled to articulate the words I intended to accompany it due to my mental state. Consequently, I retained the piece and digitally experimented with adding text and colors. However, I hesitated to make physical alterations out of fear of imperfection.

However, just like you, me, and the rest of the world, it was never intended to be flawless. Today, I took a seat and penned my thoughts onto my sketch, even though it turned out lengthy and somewhat disorganized. However, it was necessary to put it down on paper. I had to convey it... and trust in it. I spent so much time completing it that the ink in the pen I was using ran dry, causing the words I inscribed to appear darker, written with a different pen that didn't match the drawing. They were flawed. I despise my handwriting. I made a spelling error and cannot rectify it because it's written in ink. Yet, all of these imperfections contribute to the memory of this particular drawing... these emotions... these imperfections that render me human... this reminder that life is deserving of anticipation.

All of this is to express my wish for you to remain, live to the fullest, understand your significance, recognize your own uniqueness, and enjoy the most delicious orange.
